Our frozen meat products are naturally free from additives of any kind. When you open each packet, you can see exactly what you're dealing with - whether it's full-flavoured rumen or a sheer heart. Differences within a product type are normal: a rumen can be light green, dark green, grey or even black. This is inherent to the product and merely allows conclusions to be drawn about the animal's previous diet. After all, we are dealing with a natural product and not industrially standardised meat.

    BARF in brief:
Meat is a species-appropriate diet for dogs and cats. This is because both species are so-called carnivores. There has recently been a new term for this natural diet, which has been around for thousands of years: "BARF" or "barf".

"BARF" refers to feeding raw meat and bones. In principle, meat and offal contain all the natural nutrients that carnivores need for a healthy life.

In order to imitate the vegetable stomach contents of a prey animal from the wild, approx. 20 %, e.g. cooked potatoes, rice, pasta or carrots, can be added to the raw meat - but this is not a must. This vegetable supplement must be well cooked, pureed or softened, as this is the only way a dog's short intestines can optimally utilise vegetable additives. This vegetable component can also be replaced by ready-mashed vegetables or a fine flake. Vegetables or fruit (e.g. apples, pears, bananas) can be an alternative.
