Ludgers N OLIGOVIT MINERAL | PELLETS ensure an optimum supply of vitamins, minerals and trace elements for horses and ponies. Vitamins and trace elements are essential for optimum metabolic function in horses.

Copper and zinc are present as "-hydroxide" compounds and therefore have a higher bioavailability than the inorganic forms "-sulphate" or "-oxide". In addition, these trace elements are present in a crystalline matrix structure to prevent the oxidative effect on vitamins.

Selenium is present 100% as selenomethionine. It is also stored in the body in this form and is better utilised than selenium yeast (another organic form) or inorganic sodium selenite.

The addition of vitamins A, D and E is particularly important as these vitamins are not produced by the body. Vitamin K and B can be synthesised by the intestinal flora, but this does not happen to a sufficient extent in a horse with intensive work requirements or an intact intestinal flora.
