Power Mushrooms Life - For a long and carefree life!
This medicinal mushroom blend consists of reishi, shiitake, coriolus and agaricus mushrooms. It is a good choice for depleted people who need a lot of support.
The strong quartet: Reishi, shiitake, coriolus & agaricus medicinal mushrooms
Vitality mushrooms are not only exceptional from a health perspective. These creatures are also fascinating from a purely biological point of view with their sophisticated survival strategies and useful properties that support the natural cycle of nature in a variety of ways. Anyone who has come into contact with medicinal mushrooms - whether consciously or by chance - will never forget their potential. Our medicinal mushroom blend contains Reishi, Shiitake, Coriolus and Agaricus and is called "Life" for a reason. The fine powder consists of whole mushrooms and is a particularly good choice for depleted, listless people who need a lot of support in everyday life.
What are medicinal mushrooms?
They go by different names: Vital mushrooms, medicinal mushrooms or health mushrooms. But regardless of the nomenclature, the names have one thing in common: they refer to types of mushrooms that have been recognised and successfully used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for thousands of years. The folk remedies of Japan, Russia and Scandinavia also utilise the properties of medicinal mushrooms. This category can include edible mushrooms such as shiitake, but also inedible species such as reishi and agaricus, which are too bitter and too hard or too tough to be enjoyed in culinary form.

In the "Life" mushroom blend, you will find finely ground powder that combines the powers of the medicinal mushrooms reishi, shiitake, coriolus and agaricus. Made from whole mushrooms, the mushroom powder provides important nutrients that your body needs to overcome periods of weakness and lack of energy. The careful formulation consists of mushrooms grown sustainably and free from harmful substances in perfectly harmonised proportions, which achieves a synergistic effect. The mushroom mix supplies the body with a whole range of minerals and trace elements, including iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, selenium, manganese, copper and zinc. The ingredients of the "Life" mushroom mix also include essential amino acids, plant hormones, polysaccharides, numerous vitamins and the beta-glucan structures typical of mushrooms. The medicinal mushrooms are processed directly after harvesting - in this way the finely ground mushroom powder contains all the valuable ingredients.
Reishi: the shiny lacquer mushroom
Traditional Chinese medicine has known about the reishi mushroom for over 2000 years, although its name is not Chinese but Japanese and means "divine mushroom". However, the "shiny lacquer mushroom" - as it is known in German - is also native to this country. It has a strikingly shimmering fruiting body that looks like it has been varnished and combines three distinctly different colours: the cap is white at the bottom, reddish brown at the top and the stem is almost black. Reishi mushrooms grow extremely slowly and are therefore particularly valuable. As it is hard and bitter, reishi is not eaten, but processed into powder, extract or capsules. Reishi contains over 100 important ingredients: in addition to vitamins and minerals, it also contains triterpenes, polysaccharides and peptidoglycans.
Agaricus: the expensive mushroom cousin
Agaricus looks like an ordinary white button mushroom, but is considered the most potent medicinal mushroom of all. At home in the Brazilian rainforest, it is also known as the sun mushroom or Royal Sun Agaricus. Due to its intense almond flavour, it is also known as almond mushroom or almond egerling. Botanically baptised as Agaricus Blazei Murill (ABM), it is the most expensive of all edible mushrooms used for medicinal purposes. It has the highest measured content of polysaccharides (beta-D-glucans) of all medicinal mushrooms.
Shiitake: Pasania mushroom with the active ingredient lentinan
The shiitake mushroom originates from East Asia, where it grows naturally on various deciduous trees. It is not found in the wild in Europe - instead, the inconspicuous, brown mushroom with a beige stem and creamy white lamellae is cultivated on substrates made from sawdust or rice bran. Translated from Japanese, its name means "mushroom that grows on the Pasania tree", which is why it is also known as the Pasania mushroom. In addition to its culinary qualities, shii-take - the other spelling - is also highly valued in medicine. Shiitake provides vitamins B1, B2, B3, B12 and vitamin D as well as potassium and zinc. However, its most important active ingredient is the polysaccharide lentinan.
Coriolus: colourful on the outside, potent on the inside
The mushroom known as the "colourful tramete" or "butterfly mushroom" can be found all over the world, but it is not suitable for the cooking pot because it is very tough and tastes slightly bitter. This makes the Coriolus versicolor all the more popular in naturopathy: In addition to vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 and D as well as copper, iron, selenium, calcium and potassium, it provides the polysaccharide peptide (PSP) and polysaccharide K (PSK), which are of great medical importance. The colourful butterfly mushroom is often made into jewellery as its decorative, colourful markings make it extremely attractive.
Mushrooms, the invisible giants
Mushrooms are neither plants nor animals
Represented on our planet in impressive diversity and in overwhelming numbers, fungi form an independent group among living organisms. They are neither plants nor animals, but according to DNA comparisons they are more closely related to the latter. Instead of photosynthesising - like plants - they decompose dead organic material from their environment and, like animals, form the polysaccharide glycogen as a storage substance, whereas plants generate starch. In addition to other polysaccharides, the cell wall of most fungi also contains chitin, which is not found in the plant kingdom but is widespread in animals. Fungi also lack the cellulose characteristic of plants. The external similarity - immobility - is not decisive, as some animals, such as corals or sponges, are also localised.
