In nature, the Cat Appeasing Pheromone (C.A.P.) is released by the mother to her kittens during suckling. It is inhaled through the nose during milk intake and gives the kittens a feeling of safety and security and ensures a harmonious, social bond with their mother as well as with their littermates.

How long should I use FELIWAY® FRIENDS?

You will notice the first changes in cohabitation after just a few days. We recommend using FELIWAY® FRIENDS for at least 3 months, especially if the conflicts have been going on for a long time, to give your cats time to get used to the new peace and forget the old behaviour patterns.

Longer or continuous use is possible for your cats without hesitation and can be an advantage in some multi-cat households that are very different in character, for example, and need more help to live together in a relaxed manner.

FELIWAY® FRIENDS used correctly:

• For initial use, you will need a FELIWAY® FRIENDS vaporiser (only available as a set consisting of 1 socket vaporiser and 48 ml bottle).
• The vaporiser should remain plugged in day and night. Regular unplugging from the socket prevents the vaporiser from working properly.
• The 48 ml bottle in the vaporiser set lasts for approx. 30 days. After that, the harmony can be extended at home with a 30-day (48 ml) refill bottle.
• One vaporiser is sufficient for approx. 50 to 70 m² of living space. If the cats spend time throughout the house and on different floors, we recommend inserting at least 1 additional vaporiser per floor or room where the cat spends the most time.
• The vaporiser must not be covered (e.g. by curtains), placed behind a door or directly underneath furniture.
• For optimum results, we recommend replacing the vaporiser every 6 months.
