KERALIT STRAHL-LIQUIDE counteracts horn decomposition processes. KERALIT STRAHL-LIQUIDE is a liquid, well-adhering frog care solution especially for the problem areas of the frog and the white line. Simultaneous care and regeneration of damaged, decomposed horn, especially in the case of softened, malodorous central and lateral frog furrows.

KERALIT STRAHL-LIQUIDE prevents horn damage by neutralising harmful influences from the stable litter (ammonia) and keeping away microorganisms that are significantly involved in horn decomposition. The frog horn becomes firmer after just 3-4 days of use and the frog furrows dry out. Due to its thin liquid consistency, Strahl-Liquide can penetrate well and deeply into the frog furrows and fissured horn substance. Simply wetting the horn with the liquid is sufficient to achieve the full effect. The frog liquide is a thin, water-soluble combination of active substances with various tanning agents and salts. The mode of action of Strahl Liquide is primarily based on a change in the milieu that the horn-decomposing germs need to metabolise. (These germs prefer alkaline, warm, moist, anaerobic conditions). By using Keralit Strahl Liquide, the surface of the horn becomes indigestible for these germs. By tanning the top, damaged horn layer, the molecular structure of the horn is altered and the enzymatic digestion of the germs no longer matches the protein (keratin) to be digested. In practice, the germs are deprived of their basis of life. The germ envelopes are also tanned, as they also consist of proteins. This means that existing germs cannot be encapsulated. It contains no copper sulphate, iodoform or antibiotics.
