Hartog Gras-mix has the following characteristics:

Gras-mix consists of high quality dried grass, enriched with textured cobs and a mixture of molasses with linseed oil. Gras-mix is packaged in a recyclable plastic bag, which protects the product against external influences.

Hartog's roughage is grown on controlled areas. This means that the products are free from weeds, such as the poisonous ragwort. After mowing, the grass is chopped and dried at a very high temperature in a large drying drum. This rapid drying process preserves the freshness and flavour of the product. At the same time, all bacteria, mould spores and pathogens are destroyed, which means that Gras-mix has a significantly higher feeding value compared to traditional roughage such as hay or (pre-dried) silage.
