Grain-free feed made from alternative energy sources with a greatly reduced starch and sugar content. The basic feed was designed as a complete alternative to conventional concentrated feed. The following factors had to be taken into account:

1. Energy supply without risky, easily digestible carbohydrates. Realised through: Energy sources with minimal starch and sugar content (sensible balancing of vital substances in the absence of whole grain cereal components. Realised by: organically bound vitamins from vegetable oils, stabilised rice bran, high-quality amino acids, calcium- and protein-rich alfalfa and oilseeds.
2. Natural components to stabilise the intestinal flora. Realised through: components that harmonise digestion and promote healthy intestinal flora: fermentable beet fibre, milk thistle oil and linseed, but above all topinambur concentrate with a prebiotic effect.
