The dust-free textured alternative: Our alfalfa mix proves to be an all-rounder: It can be used for horses of all breeds as a hay substitute or to enhance the existing hay ration. This is particularly important for horses that cannot tolerate hay due to dust, pollen etc. or for spoilt horses whose palates simply do not like the hay on offer. Even in stressful situations, e.g. at competitions, alfalfa mix is readily eaten. We defoliate the alfalfa in a special process so that it is dust-free and low in protein. Our lucerne mix is also a structured feed without pellets and is absolutely homogeneous. Moistening or soaking is of course not necessary, but can be done for old horses with dental problems, for example.
