The meat content of the BIO menu comes from one protein source (single protein). Beef protein is very easy for dogs to utilise. The lean meat contains plenty of iron, zinc and B vitamins. It also gives the food a slightly firmer consistency. The very low-calorie courgettes provide vitamin A and vitamin E, contain folic acid for cell renewal and have a deacidifying effect due to their excess alkalinity. Celery is good for blood formation and strengthens bones and teeth. The vegetable also helps to regulate stomach acidity and has a dehydrating effect. Rice flakes are an easily digestible source of carbohydrates. Chia seeds are rich in valuable omega 3 fatty acids. Sunflower oil provides vitamins A, B, D, K and E and also has a cholesterol-lowering effect. Eggshells are used to regulate the calcium/phosphorus ratio (1.3/1) and are important for bone and tooth formation as well as for the cell system.
