You probably know from your own experience that the area around the bowl sometimes looks like a battlefield. Not only does it look unappetising, but it also causes cleaning work. As we prefer walking the dog to mopping the floor, we sat down and developed the bowl mat. What was meant to be a small project turned out to be one of our biggest challenges. The material had to be flexible and the underside had to be non-slip. The edges had to be raised so that nothing would run off. But the bigger the task, the greater the pride in the finished product, even if it was just a bowl mat!
